Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. I got the chicken and waffles and it was honestly super good! My boyfriend got the chilaquiles and they were delicious but a little bit cold. I'm picky with chilaquiles but these had really great flavor. We also got the bottomless mimosas and it was so worth it. I would 100% come back to try more stuff from the menu!

One of the only decent happy hours in Alhambra. I loved my cocktail... smoky lost Oaxaquena. The taquitos and fried cauliflower are delicious. The only thing I wouldn't get again are the loaded nachos. I'm just not a fan of the nacho cheese... so if you are into that, then it might be perfect for ya. The playlist was made for millennials :)

Amazing food. I had the taquitos and my husband had the tostada salad. Both were delicious. It's a good atmosphere with good music. It would be a good place for a chill date night. The cocktails are amazing. I had one called farmers daughter. Super delicious and not too sweet.

Had a wonderful first time here. The food was great. The ambience is so nice with the dim lighting & y2k playlist. Our server Elidia was very sweet & welcoming, definitely asking for her on our next visit. UPDATE: i had forgotten my purse and she chased me outside to return it to me! SO SWEET!!! i love her!

7/10/24 Girls night out on a Wednesday!?!? Why the hell not!? Our crew decided to hang out to & throw somewhat of a farewell little soirée for me (I am technically leaving our department) even though I am just going to be one floor up. Hey, any excuse to have a fun time away from work, right? They recommended this place since they've already eaten here before. I wish I could order an alcoholic beverage like they did. One of the ladies ordered one called Farmers Daughter as suggested by our friendly & attentive server, Enrique. Another one ordered one that had a watermelon as a garnish (I really don't know what these drinks are other than it contains vodka). I took a tiny sip & between the two, I liked the Farmers Daughter much better. It was very tasty & refreshing. We ordered many shareable plates like the loaded nachos, taco sampler & chicken taquitos, tostada salad & I wanted to try the Cuban Style plate that was served with naan, black beans & fried plantains. Not much time passed and our orders were brought in and we dove right in. Everything tasted great. Oh so good! The loaded nachos were definitely loaded with fresh and scrumptious ingredients. All were cooked well and seasoned to perfection. My Cuban Style chicken was moist, savory & beautifully paired with white rice, black beans. It arrived with my choice of garlic spread & chimichuri side of sauces. It's a loud & lively but that's expected. Based off the food, ambiance, and spot on service, I highly recommend this Chivken Koop--love the chicken-themed decor-so vibrant & colorful!.

The Chicken Koop is always great every time I go. It's been a while since I've stopped in, but they didn't disappoint. Yes, it's loud and hard to hold a conversation in there, but the music is right up my alley. My friend and I shared an esquite, and I got the Garlic Chicken Plate with the green sauce and chimichurri sauce, and she got the fried chicken sandwich. We both enjoyed our meals. Portions were generous and tasty (the esquite was smaller that what I expected for what I paid for though IMO). My chicken was juicy and the sauces that came with it were excellent. I also loved the Brussels sprouts that accompanied the meal. Service was good, our server stopped by frequently to check on us and refilled our waters often. The pozole looked really good, will have to try that next time! I'm not a beer drinker, but they have a bar for those who do!
